Welcome to the 2024 PEM Consultation: Empowered by the Spirit!

Cluj, Romania November 13-15th.

Pentecostal European Mission Consultation is held annually as a one- to three-day event every other year. The purpose of the consultation is to elaborate new missiological concerns and suggest best practices for missions today for churches and mission organizations. As well as facilitate networking among its member to be able to expand efforts for the most vulnerable and least reached in the world. The consultation is aimed at the mission’s leadership of the Pentecostal churches and missions organizations in Europe. The consultation is focused on promoting interaction and co-operation among the churches and organizations in matters pertaining to missions.

The consultations are open to missions’ pastors, missions chair people/mission committee members, missionaries/potential missionaries, and any people who are passionate about missions in the PEF community.

THEME

The consultation starts November 13th at 3pm and ends November 15th at 3pm.

This year the Topic is going to be EMPOWERED BY THE SPIRIT and our programme will be built around that. Our different “best practice” sessions are designed to motivate, encourage and engage each other to sharpen our ways of doing things and learn from each other. You can choose from the following workshops to get inspired very practically:

  • How to build a sending structure.
  • Best practices in setting up budgets.
  • How to work in closed countries.
  • Best practices for member care.
  • Local Church Missions.

We are expectant for the main sessions and are praying and believing for a powerful time together in discussions, prayer, and worship where we truly get empowered by the Spirit!

Experience – Learn, Meet, and Engage!

To be challenged in the paradigm shifts and current trends in mission thinking and involvement in regards to the consultation theme and sub-themes.

To learn and exchange ideas in fields of theology, best practice and leadership.

To access the vast resources among PEM members to help one another in the Missio Dei

Description of the Agenda

The theme and subthemes after its introduction will introduce the participant to a basic missiological challenge introducing a new paradigm for understanding mission today to be followed by a with a practical application.

In short, the mornings are for missiological reflection and the evenings are for practical application. The breaks and mealtimes afford opportunities to explore our different subjects informally, through the sharing of experiences and simply the enjoyment of one another’s company. These informal times are always essential in our consultations, both for mutual learning and for building relationships.
