Keynote Speaker

Daniel Lepojärvi

Chief Executive Officer, ERDO (Emergency Relief and Development Overseas), Canada

Daniel Lepojärvi serves as CEO of ERDO, where he leads global humanitarian and development initiatives in partnership with local churches around the world. His passion for mission and community transformation was shaped during his early ministry among vulnerable children in East Africa, where he witnessed both deep poverty and the powerful role of the church in restoring hope.

With a background in international development, ministry leadership, and cross-cultural work, Daniel has helped strengthen holistic, church-based approaches to community development. He is committed to equipping churches to serve their communities with compassion, dignity, and long-term vision.

The Church as a Catalyst for Community Transformation

The Church has always been called to bring hope into a broken world. Compassion and generosity remain essential expressions of the Gospel, yet lasting transformation requires more than acts of kindness alone.

Communities are transformed when relationships are restored, when responsibility is shared, and when people are empowered to take part in shaping their own future. Transformation grows through trust, presence, and partnership over time.

This theme invites us to reflect on the role of the Church in society today. We are not called to stand at a distance as providers of solutions. We are called to walk with people, to listen carefully, and to nurture the conditions where transformation can take root.

As Pentecostals, we believe the Holy Spirit empowers the Church for this calling. The Spirit strengthens courage, renews hope, and leads us in the long journey of restoration.

“Seek the peace and prosperity of the city…” — Jeremiah 29:7

A Rhythm of Reflection and Practice

The consultation combines theological reflection, practical learning, and relational exchange.

Mornings will focus on missiological reflection and biblical foundations. Afternoons will create space for discussion, collaboration, and the sharing of experiences. Evenings will gather us in worship and prayer as we seek God’s direction together.

Breaks and shared meals are an important part of the consultation. Many of the most meaningful conversations take place in these informal moments, where relationships are built and trust grows.

Why Attend This Consultation?

During these days together, participants will:

• Reflect on how the Gospel transforms communities.
• Learn from churches already engaging their communities.
• Build relationships with leaders across Europe.
• Discover practical pathways for lasting transformation.
• Seek God together in prayer and discernment.

This consultation creates space not only for learning, but for listening, connecting, and discerning next steps together.
